Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is searching for an Operations Project Manager Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. Our team supports operations and business improvement across 2000+ employees located in Utah, Ohio, California, and Mississippi. This position is located in Clearfield, UT.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate continuous improvement events to develop, define and improve processes in the forming and finishing of aircraft composite structures.
Analyze various manufacturing processes for opportunities to minimize scrap, reduce cost, increase capacity, and optimize schedule.
Provide support to the manufacturing floor by working proactively with cross-functional teams to understand frontline problems and implement cost-saving, impactful solutions.
Work with program leadership to assess what-if scenarios and guide long-term strategic decision making across several different programs.
Generate metrics and conducts studies pertaining to efficiency, cycle times, work-in-progress, manpower, cost performance, and product delivery.
Partner with manufacturing management to develop and track recovery plans that instill confidence with program management and customers, even though unforeseen challenges.
Apply systems thinking in the development of metrics to improve product flow from the release of raw materials through product delivery.
Develop and summarize analyses for the acquisition, maintenance & enhancement of capital assets and equipment. Provides capacity planning, rate tool analyses, and facility layouts to ensure the ongoing success of composite operations.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with 0 years of relevant experience
Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
Ability to work on an assembly floor.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current DoD Secret Clearance.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment.
Bachelor of Science Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field.
Experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools.
