Summary:

This is a great opportunity for a results-oriented project manager to join the Operational Excellence team in Spend Management.

In this role, you will collaborate with leaders and teams across the Spend Management Business Unit (SMBU) to execute key strategic initiatives and priorities to accelerate performance of Spend Management, including leading performance improvement initiatives to develop and implement automation, process standardization and efficiencies. The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and progress of projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with SMBU objectives. This role involves coordinating resources, managing risks, and communicating effectively with stakeholders to achieve project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead medium-complexity SMBU initiatives from initiation through closure, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timeline, budget and resources along with executive status reports.
  • Identify cross-functional dependencies and proactively mitigate risks
  • Drive issue resolution and escalate appropriately
  • Define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration across cross-functional teams and departments.
  • Communicate project expectations, updates, and potential risks to key stakeholders, while providing appropriate resolutions and recommendations.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators to ensure initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • In collaboration with Sr. Director, Operational Excellence, identifies continuous improvement opportunities within the Operational Excellence team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred.
  • 2 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful project throughout its lifecycle required.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies required.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Expertise in project management software preferred.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $68,500.00 to $116,300.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
