Project Manager (M/F/D)

Avantor is currently on the lookout for a motivated and driven Project Manager to join the growing team in Beerse. In this position, you’ll lead and manage complex projects with different topics from A to Z. Are you detail oriented, outgoing and a real people person? This is a full-time, day job based at our customer site, with location in Beerse. You will also travel to the sites in Geel and Ghent occasionally. Working hours: Monday - Friday, flexible start time between 07:30 - 9:00 and finish time as of 16:00

The team

In this position you’ll work on a rather individual basis, though you will manage your own project teams, and you’ll closely collaborate with the Site Manager and the Countries Services Manager on a European level. This team belongs to our department Lab and Production Services, which supports leading pharmaceutical companies and laboratories all over the world, in Research and Development within the Life Sciences industry.

What we’re looking for 

Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably including Project Management and Process Management

Experience:

• in Project Management
• in the scientific industry is a plus

Preferred qualifications:

• Proficient in MS Office and familiar with Project Management tools (e.g.: Visio, MS Project)
• Knowledge of Six Sigma is a strong advantage
• Effective communication skills in Dutch and English
• Assertive, pro-active and not afraid of speaking up
• Driven, stress resistant and flexible
• Able to visualize something, analytical and process minded

How you will thrive and create an impact 

• Lead and oversee projects (minor and major) in alignment with Avantor’s business priorities
• Break down projects into doable actions, set timeframes, monitor development and track milestones
• Develop, update and communicate project plans with internal and external stakeholders
• Provide recommendations or flag potential business issues to the leadership team
• Compile, analyze and share cross-functional and customer data for business reviews
• Participate to business assessments for new services and support their implementation
• Act as the point of contact and keep project participants informed on progress
• Report results to your manager and the customer, recommend improvements and implement approved changes
