The Role
Position Summary

We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of the warehouse scope for a ~414,000 sq. ft. highly automated packaging and distribution facility in New Albany Ohio. This role is responsible for project execution, coordination, and governance across multiple warehouse automation workstreams, ensuring delivery aligns with schedule, budget, and overall capital project objectives.

The Project Manager will oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle—from planning and design coordination through installation, commissioning, and handover—working closely with internal stakeholders, construction partners, and third-party vendors. Strong project management capability is critical; deep technical expertise in warehouse automation systems is not required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the warehouse project scope, ensuring alignment with overall capital project objectives, timelines, and budgets.

  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, and dependencies across automation, construction, IT, and operations teams.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for warehouse-related project activities, coordinating internal stakeholders and external vendors.

  • Lead vendor management activities, including scope alignment, deliverable tracking, issue resolution, and escalation management.

  • Proactively manage project risks, assumptions, constraints, and change control, escalating issues as needed to leadership.

  • Coordinate closely with the construction management team to ensure site readiness, installation sequencing, and phasing align with project plans.

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration among automation providers, IT/OT teams, quality, commissioning, and operations.

  • Support testing, commissioning, and go-live activities from a project coordination and governance perspective.

  • Ensure operational readiness, including coordination of training, SOP development support, and handover to operations.

  • Provide regular project status reporting, dashboards, and executive updates to leadership.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, or a related field.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably within capital projects, facilities, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environments.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-vendor projects with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experience supporting projects involving automation, systems implementation, or large-scale facilities is preferred, but hands-on technical expertise is not required.

  • Prior experience working with construction managers or general contractors is highly desirable.

  • Experience in regulated industries (pharma, biotech, medical devices, or similar) is a plus.

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong project management fundamentals: planning, scheduling, risk management, change control, and stakeholder communication.

  • Ability to manage technical teams and vendors without being the subject-matter expert.

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills.

  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar) and Microsoft Office.

  • Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, construction and installation environment.

Work Environment
  • Site-based role supporting an active construction and installation project.

  • Frequent interaction with construction, automation vendors, and internal stakeholders.

  • Travel may be required for project meetings, vendor coordination, or testing activities.

  • PPE compliance required per site EHS protocols.
