You will have project ownership from quote hand off to project close, providing customer support & communication, and ultimately responsible for the related activities performed by multi-disciplined cross-functional teams. We take a disciplined approach to project management, clearly defining objectives, timing, and critical elements to ensure success.
Location Type: This is an on-site position in Nashville, TN.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Responsible for the overall leadership of the project, including managing scope, change, schedule, cost, quality, open issues, risks, resources, and overall project communications.
- Builds relationships with key customer contacts and acts as the primary point of communication to the customer for assigned projects. Understands the customer's business and speaks their language. Develops credibility, loyalty, trust, and commitment.
- Leads a cross-functional project team through JR’s Project Execution Process (PEP) with overall responsibility and authority for project performance throughout the project life cycle.
- Acceptance and sharing of best practices and lessons learned, continuously improving the JR Project Execution Process (PEP).
- In-depth understanding of the financial details and budget of each assigned project.
- Proactive decision analysis capabilities; takes into consideration size, complexity, visible and unknown risks, timelines, etc.
- Uses assigned systems to communicate the current and future state of project performance.
- Coordinates and monitors project documentation, timelines, technical performance, budget, production, quality deliverables, and corrective action initiatives.
- Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to the established quality management system (ISO 9001:2015).
- Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed safely.
- Works with existing customers on low to medium-risk projects
- Strong steward of Hitachi values
- Works cross-functionally within the divisions

What You’ll Bring:
- 1-7 years of Project Management and/or Automation Experience.
- Bachelor’s degree and PMP preferred.
- Experience in direct customer commercial management and cross-functional team leadership preferred.
- Strong technical background.
- Moderately advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and MS Project.
- Ability to become proficient in company systems, processes, and tools.
