Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager, Project Director, or Project Executive, this role partners closely with design and construction teams in a highly collaborative approach—monitoring progress, managing budget and schedule adherence, and helping ensure quality, compliance, and clear reporting throughout execution. We are seeking experienced industry professionals with prior sports venue development experience.

THE PROJECT

This role sits within Legends Global Owner’s Representation, which provides project management services for major sports and entertainment venues and other complex public assembly facilities. Projects are fast-paced and stakeholder-rich, requiring strong coordination across owners, designers, builders, and specialty consultants on site.

WHAT YOU'LL DO (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)

Coordinate Design & Construction Execution

  • Monitor and guide progress of the design team and construction team across project elements including structural, architectural, interiors, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, civil, utilities, low voltage, foodservice, FF&E, and other scopes as required.
  • Partner with the Project Controls Engineer to maintain current project files and documentation associated with assigned tasks.
  • Attend required meetings and, when needed, capture and distribute meeting minutes for record purposes.

Manage Budget, Cost Tracking & Invoicing

  • Create and monitor project budgets for assigned responsibilities, and help ensure all parties adhere to agreed financial parameters.
  • Review and support approval of invoices in alignment with budget status, contract requirements, and project progress.
  • Assist with preparing RFPs, finalizing contracts, and managing procurement of necessary contractors, consultants, and vendors.

Track Schedule Performance

  • Monitor adherence to the agreed project schedule and escalate risks or conflicts that could impact milestones.
  • Advise project leadership of recovery measures as needed to maintain critical path activities and key deliverables.

Support Quality, Permitting, Reporting & Closeout

  • Report on the quality of work and help drive resolution of non-compliance items, including supporting jobsite inspections as required.
  • Assist in obtaining permits, inspections, and approvals in coordination with the project team and local authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports and contribute to reporting to ownership, providing clear updates on progress, risks, and next steps.
  • Support project turnover to the client and closeout of assigned project contracts, accounts, and documentation.

WHAT YOU BRING (QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Building Construction, Architecture, or Engineering preferred.
  • 5–15 years of experience as a project engineer, assistant project manager, project manager, or construction administration representative for a major design, construction, or program management firm.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly establish credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Superior collaboration skills and a team-oriented, solutions-first approach.
  • Proficiency with MS 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), Procore, and MS Project or Primavera P6; additional relevant software proficiency is a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task and produce deliverables in a timely manner in fast-paced jobsite environments.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate as project needs require; flexibility to work non-traditional hours due to accelerated schedules.
  • Prior experience in sports venue development strongly preferred.

KEY LEADERSHIP ATTRIBUTES

  • Cross-functional stakeholder leadership (design, construction, ownership)
  • Disciplined execution: budget, schedule, quality, risk mitigation
  • Concise reporting & documentation for project leadership/owners
  • Decisive, solutions-oriented jobsite leadership (safety/compliance)

WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL

  • On-site role in an active project / jobsite environment.
  • Willingness to travel heavily or relocate based on project assignment.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours as needed due to accelerated schedules.
