Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Project Manager Lead to oversee the development and implementation of projects in the Oil & Gas industry. The successful candidate will manage projects involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on delivering new or existing scopes of supply. This role requires meticulous planning, scheduling, and monitoring from project inception through to delivery, ensuring adherence to budgets and timelines.
The Project Manager Lead will organize interdepartmental activities to ensure projects are completed on schedule, meet quality standards, and stay within budget constraints. In collaboration with the Project Lead Engineer, the Project Manager Lead will ensure all project documentation and procedures comply with design requirements. Typical projects involve automated, complex, integrated control and security systems or part of it.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Project Leader to plan and schedule project activities.
- He/She is responsible for meeting project schedule, budgeted hours, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Coordinate with Finance team to report project figures to the corporate Profit and Loss.
- Works with the Credit team for Invoices and overdue payments.
- Responsible for delivering projects that meet the quality systems, both of the customer and the own business unit.
- Discuss and define together with the Project Leader and the Ops Manager the project execution strategy.
- Supports the Lead Engineer in managing the challenges on complex projects.
- Oversee subcontractor activities and assignments on project tasks.
- Maintain a commercial awareness of the business impact of project decisions.
- Builds partnerships at a management level of the customers.
- Will develop and present the commercial aspects of sales(Changes and VO) proposals to customers.
- Responsible for following all applicable corporate, company, governmental and regulatory policies and procedures as appropriate for this position.
The Individual
- Master’s Degree in engineering discipline (i.e. Industrial/Process automation, Informatics, Electronics) or equivalent is preferred.
- Significant experience in a project management role, ideally within the Oil & Gas sector or a similar industry, is required.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing a wide range of issues creatively and effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and within a project team, supervising client specifications compliance and cost control.
- Willingness to travel for project meetings and coordination as required.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
