The Role

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories seeks a professional, innovative, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Management Intern in Pullman, WA. The ideal candidate for this position will be able to work part time during the school year and full time during the summer. If you are an enthusiastic team player, we invite you to apply now!

As a Project Management Intern, a typical day might include the following:

  • Providing administrative support to the department and project teams, including scheduling and coordinating project execution deliverables, generating meeting minutes, preparing presentations, creating and maintaining action item lists.

  • Providing support to project teams including maintaining project files, creating and maintaining reports.

  • Coordinating activities to meet project objectives.

  • Assisting in maintaining accurate project files and project tracking records such as time reporting, financial records, schedules, budgets, and summary spreadsheets.

  • Managing simultaneous, small projects as assigned.

  • Providing support for large projects.

  • Ordering and tracking parts and materials needed for projects.

  • Updating and helping improve our metrics and reporting.

  • Following and applying SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

  • Other duties as assigned.

This job might be for you if:

  • You are a current student pursuing a degree in Business or relevant discipline.

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

  • You are able to learn and communicate technical information.

  • You have strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.

  • You have excellent coordination, organization, and prioritizing skills.

  • You are able to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

  • You are able to work cooperatively in a team environment.

  • You are able to work independently and take initiative.

  • You have background check results satisfactory to SEL.

  • You have negative drug test result(s).
