Who We Are

Clean Air Task Force (CATF) is a global nonprofit organisation working to safeguard against the worst impacts of climate change by catalysing the rapid development and deployment of low-carbon energy and other climate-protecting technologies. With 30 years of internationally recognized expertise on climate policy and a fierce commitment to exploring all potential solutions, CATF is a pragmatic, non-ideological advocacy group with the bold ideas needed to address climate change. CATF has offices in Boston, Washington D.C., and Brussels, with staff working virtually around the world.

What You'll Do

The Industrial Innovation Program is leading efforts to accelerate deep decarbonisation of the industrial sector by aligning technology innovation, policy advocacy, and market development to deliver durable, scalable emissions reductions. Our program includes extensive work in the most critical hard-to-abate industrial sectors, including chemicals, steel and cement, focused on deploying tangible decarbonisation technologies, such as clean power and heat, hydrogen, and carbon capture and storage.

You’ll act as a central point of coordination for the Industrial Innovation team in Europe—helping bring structure, clarity, and momentum to a complex portfolio of work.

  • Drive execution through strong project management by translating program priorities into clear plans, timelines, and deliverables, working closely with the Europe Director and Senior Program Manager
  • Create visibility and alignment by tracking progress across initiatives against goals, KPIs, and grant commitments
  • Build operational clarity by maintaining organized systems, including trackers, dashboards, and shared resources
  • Enable collaboration across teams by coordinating input, managing deliverables, and supporting cross-team review and sign-off
  • Facilitate clear communication and decisions by planning and running structured, outcome-focused meetings with strong follow-through
  • Identify risks and solve problems early by spotting gaps and helping teams take practical action to stay on track
  • Ensure continuity and ownership by supporting program operations, including grant coordination and a well-structured end-of-contract handover
What You’ll Bring

This role is designed for someone who can bring structure, clarity, and follow-through to complex, cross-team work.

Required experience
  • A university degree in a relevant field
  • At least three years of experience managing projects, programs, or complex workstreams, ideally in a nonprofit, policy, or mission-driven environment
  • Experience working closely with senior stakeholders, including direct collaboration with the Europe Director or equivalent leadership
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Experience using tools or systems to track deliverables, timelines, and workflows (e.g., Monday.com, SharePoint, or similar platforms)
  • Experience coordinating work across teams in a global organization, working across time zones, geographies, and functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including facilitating meetings and driving clear follow-through
Preferred experience
  • Experience working in a European context
  • Familiarity with climate, energy, environmental, or industrial sectors
  • Experience supporting grant-related work or coordinating deliverables tied to external funding
  • Additional European language capabilities
What We Provide

This is a 12-month opportunity to play a meaningful role in advancing climate solutions across Europe, with clear ownership and visibility across a global organization. This is a fixed-term parental leave cover position and is not intended for renewal.

You’ll receive:

  • A mission-driven role supporting high-impact climate work
  • Exposure to cross-functional collaboration across policy, technical, and operational teams
  • A flexible, fully remote working environment within Europe
  • An excellent benefits package and a competitive salary, based on your experience and location
  • Benefits aligned to your country of employment

You must be authorized to work in your country of residence, as CATF is not able to sponsor work authorization for this role.
