The Role

Position Summary:

In the Project Manager II – Aptura position, you’ll lead the successful execution of projects that transform Senior Living environments, delivering results on time and within budget. You’ll manage the fulfillment of design services and product procurement—including furnishings, foodservice, technology, equipment, and materials—while overseeing quoting, project tracking, and closeout activities. In addition to managing day-to-day project execution, you’ll support business development efforts, contribute to process improvements, and mentor other project managers to drive team performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Project, Newforma, Microsoft Office and Google Office Suites 

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications 

 

What You’ll Do and Impact:  

  • Manage all aspects of design and procurement to ensure Direct Supply project offerings meet client expectations. 

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee project scope, budget, timelines, and internal/external meetings to ensure successful execution. 

  • Manage day-to-day communications and expectations with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders. 

  • Monitor project hours and costs to minimize margin erosion and maximize profitability. 

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business. 

  • Partner with business development on pre-contract opportunities, contract negotiations, and expanding existing client engagements. 

  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives to enhance project profitability and team effectiveness. 

  • Serve as a point of escalation for project issues and resolve them with urgency and accountability. 

  • Maintain accurate project information and forecasting data. 

  • Review, revise, and approve client billing on a monthly basis. 

  • Ensure timely and accurate project close-out. 

  • Train and mentor Project Managers and others pursuing a career in project management. 

 

Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, Construction, Architecture, or a related field. 

  • 3–5 years of project management experience, ideally focused on construction, architecture, or procurement. 

  • 2+ years of experience in a design or construction-related field. 

  • Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar projects, with a focus on complex renovations involving MEP and architectural elements. 

  • PMP certification, AIA licensure, or other relevant professional accreditation preferred. 

  • Ability to travel by car and/or plane up to 40%  

  • Valid, unexpired driver's license with satisfactory driving record   

 

Additional Items of Interest: 

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a related field preferred. 

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, customer service, or a related field. 

  • Advanced knowledge of long-term care and senior living products and equipment.
