Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Project Manager II to join our Midwest region team! This role is onsite in our Des Moines or Cedar Rapids office.

Some things you can expect to do:


  • Working with project schedules, cost projections, contracts, project status reports & more.
  • Lead construction progress meetings.
  • Oversee design development.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, profit projections, schedules & bid documents.
  • Negotiate and award subcontracts.
  • Help conduct jobsite coordination meetings and job status reports.
  • Work directly with owners/clients, field teams, subcontractors and various internal teams for support.


​Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering/Management
  • 6+ years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry (mission critical, industrial, healthcare, retail, office, senior living and multi-family experience preferred).
  • Proven ability to manage commercial projects in the $1 - $75 million range.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and other project management tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control and material pricing.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with superintendents, subcontractors and owner/clients.
  • Able to travel for projects if needed.

Compensation:


The base salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities.

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 6 years of commercial construction experience. A bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is required. You must have an advanced knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing and bel able to use Microsoft Project and other project management tools.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • Proven ability to manage commercial projects including office and tenant improvement type projects in the $1-$30 million range.

  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with superintendents, subcontractors and owner/clients.

  • Minimum of six months of estimating/preconstruction and Field experience.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • At least 6 years of commercial construction experience
  • Experience managing commercial projects ranging from $1 million to $75 million
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and other project management tools
  • Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with superintendents, subcontractors, and owners or clients
  • Ability to travel for projects if needed
  • At least six months of estimating or preconstruction and field experience
  • Experience with mission critical, industrial, healthcare, retail, office, senior living, or multifamily projects
  • Experience managing office and tenant improvement projects in the $1 million to $30 million range
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Procore
