The Role

Overview

Elevate the department's project management practices by establishing and upholding PMO governance structures and ensuring the delivery and efficient execution of company initiatives, delivering substantial value to both the company and its stakeholders. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with the company's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the delivery of projects aimed at creating value, enhancing operational efficiency, and elevating customer satisfaction. This includes assessing the business case, monitoring project progress, and ensuring the realization of expected benefits.
  • Develops, executes, coordinates and monitors overall project plans (in MS Project), tasks, and milestones.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain robust PMO governance structures, policies, and best practices to ensure uniformity and consistency across all projects.
  • Cultivate robust relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to drive project success.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge project success and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the establishment of a common set of project management practices, tools and templates for portfolio, program and project level management and ensures standards are being followed.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks while developing contingency plans to safeguard project timelines and deliverables.
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadership.
  • Interfaces with internal customers and external vendors.
  • Participate in feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders.
  • Share best practices and lessons learned with the organization.
  • Develop resourcing strategies, allocates staff and delegates support as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years Project Management experience with large scale projects required.
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with maintaining and tracking large ($1mil+) project budgets required, including extensive risk management
  • Requires advanced MS Office 2013/16, MS Visio and Project Professional 2013/2016 skills, and experience with MS Project Server and
  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations to senior leadership required.
  • Proven track record of advocating project management discipline.

  • Requires strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills, including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
  • Partner with other leaders to foster a workplace culture of transparency and effective execution.
  • Functions independently with limited work direction.
  • Top notch verbal and written communications skills required.
  • Ability to mentor others and assist peers.

Salary Range: $71,000- $96,000

Financial offer within the stated range will be based on multiple factors to include but not limited to location, relevant experience/level and skillset."
