Reporting to the Director, Fresh Products Simplification Program, the Project Manager, Simplification and Optimization will be primarily responsible for leading and delivering strategic projects aimed at improving processes, commercial performance, and distribution operations. Acting as both a change agent and a subject matter expert, this individual will ensure the successful execution of identified projects while maintaining alignment between initiatives and the future vision of the Fresh Products category and Agropur.

The Project Manager will bring an innovative mindset, challenge the status quo, and secure buy-in from stakeholders across the organization.

He/She will serve as an ambassador and leader in fostering a culture of continuous improvement by enhancing procedures, processes, and controls throughout the organization.

  • Salary scale 006: $100 900 to $126 100 (Base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)

What you will be responsible for on a day-to-day basis:


  • Lead multidisciplinary and multi-site project teams composed of employees, consultants, and external vendors in support of multiple concurrent projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain project plans for multiple projects and report on status against project baselines (financials, resources, deliverables, etc.) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work directly with business leaders to document planned changes, analyze cross-departmental dependencies, and consolidate them into a single change management plan.
  • Ensure that change communications are effective, tailored, and consistent.
  • Responsible for forecasting and planning capacity and resource requirements for ongoing projects.
  • Committed to ensuring a high level of stakeholder satisfaction through timely and effective communication and proactive support.
  • Create and foster a positive work environment where people collaborate effectively, share a collective sense of accountability, and are recognized for their success.
  • Regularly present recommendations to senior leadership and functional management committees.
  • As a member of the Fresh Product Simplification Program team, the candidate must clearly demonstrate the ability to think in a structured manner, view situations from multiple perspectives, be a strong team player, influence colleagues at all levels of the organization, actively contribute to task execution, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

 

The profile that will thrive in this role:


  • Bachelor’s degree and expertise in project management; an MBA is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of cumulative business experience, including experience in management, project management, or finance.
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
  • PMP certification or hands-on experience managing large-scale projects is considered an asset.
  • Experience in change management and leading transition and implementation efforts.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proven experience working in a matrixed and multicultural environment.
  • Professional proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written, to effectively communicate with various stakeholders across the organization.
