MES is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Project Manager to lead complex utility projects from initiation through closeout. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams, clients, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure that scope, schedule, and budget expectations are met or exceeded.  This position requires working onsite in our Flint office three days per week, with the remaining days eligible for remote work. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of project management: planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout  
  • Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project execution  
  • Track and manage project budgets, schedules, and risks  
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders  
  • Prepare status reports, forecasts, and presentations for clients and leadership       
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and industry standards  
  • Mentor and support project team members including coordinators and field staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or General Business  
  • 5+ years of project management and utility experience  
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint  
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills  
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or General Business
  • 5+ years of project management and utility experience
