We are now looking for a Project Manager / Engineer, Mechanical Engineering, to join our Technology Development team. The position is preferably located in Tampere, Finland or Wroclaw, Poland.

What you will do

• Work as part of the Technology Development team, leading mechanical engineering activities in investment and development projects.
• Plan and prepare factory and production line layouts and detail drawings, including dimensioning, calculations, and diagrams.
• Prepare budgets, schedules, reports, specifications, bids, and contracts that support investments and development projects.
• Coordinate assigned projects from initial definition through installation, pre-engineering, engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, commissioning, training, and handover.
• Maintain and prepare project, maintenance, and training documentation.
• Coordinate and participate personally in equipment installations, inspections, training, and start-ups.
• Contribute to the development of engineering and project management tools.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including UPM Adhesive Materials production units, vendors, consultants, contractors, and our global development teams.

Who you are

You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial investment projects. In addition, you have:

• Competence in mechanical detail and layout engineering
• Knowledge of budgeting and cost control, and familiarity with SAP and M‑Files (or similar document management systems)
• Experience in process piping and ducting; maintenance experience is considered as an asset
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• A collaborative approach to teamwork and leadership skills
• Readiness to travel globally, as our projects are located at UPM Adhesive Materials production sites or new locations
• Proficiency in spoken and written English; additional language skills are an asset

Additional information 

UPM Adhesive Materials’ production locations in Houthalen (BE), Scarborough (UK) and Lancaster (UK) and UPM Biofore House in Helsinki (FI) can be considered as a location. This position is offered as a hybrid working model, combining remote work with regular on-site collaboration.
