About the role :
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager - Electrical to lead the electrical design and execution of a greenfield food processing project. This role covers a broad scope of utility and facility systems, including Boiler, WWTP, STP, WTP, Air Compressor, Firefighting, HVAC, Admin, Security, Ammonia systems, Lighting, Access Controls, and more. The Project Manager will oversee MCCs, SCADA, PLC, BMS, and related automation platforms, collaborating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, engineering consultants, and automation partners to ensure project success. The role is responsible for driving innovation, quality, and safety, while maintaining budget discipline and compliance with engineering standards
The role reports to Director - Engineering. This role will be based at the Green Field Site location at Agar Malwa, Madhya Pradesh.

Roles and Responsibilities & Key Deliverables:
Electrical Distribution and Equipment Design
- Develop specifications for electrical distribution from the state grid (132KV) to motors and field devices, covering HT/LT, PCC, MCC, lighting, earthing, and UPS systems for:
- PDBs to process MCCs
- Boiler, WWTP, STP, WTP, Air Compressor, Firefighting, HVAC, Admin, Security: MCCs, SCADA, PLC, BMS
- Lighting, Fire sensors, public announcements, Access controls system, Street lights, Irrigation systems
- Wastewater pumps installed outside the area
- Truck charging
System Integration and Automation
- Oversee Ammonia system MCCs and SCADA/PLC, including review and coordination with PM Automation.
- Lead design and implementation of SCADA, PLC, BMS, and related automation systems for all utility and facility areas.
- Develop communication protocols and topologies for integration across various suppliers, ensuring alignment with standards.
- Create and review User Requirement Specifications (URS) for third-party control logic, I/O counting, PLC specifications, and automation philosophies.
Safety, Security, and Facility Systems
- Oversee installation and integration of lighting, fire sensors, public announcement systems, access controls, street lights, and irrigation systems.
- Ensure robust design and operation of security and safety systems.
Load Calculation and Cable Management
- Prepare electrical load lists with diversity factors, supporting transformer and cable sizing selections.
- Develop cable schedules and coordinate with engineering consultants to ensure appropriate BOQ for cabling work and tray layout.
Budget and Capex Optimization
- Prepare and manage the budget for E&I activities, including benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and reliability.
Documentation and Vendor Management
- Review and approve deliverables related to E&I, IT systems, lighting, and lightning protection.
- Design and review bid documents and provide procurement recommendations to maximize value and minimize cost.
Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting
- Conduct regular project meetings to share lessons learned and best practices.
- Update stakeholders, including the Project Steering Committee, on project status, risks, and key milestones.
Project Governance and SOP Adherence
- Establish governance frameworks and SOPs for project reporting, procurement tracking, cash flow, budget management, and more.
- Conduct periodic SOP reviews to ensure effectiveness and recalibration.
Risk Management and Issue Resolution
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies, following up on action plans to ensure timely resolution.
Qualification and Commissioning
- Conduct plant design qualification and startup with Plant Operations/SuM teams.
- Oversee project handover, providing documentation, training, and support for a smooth transition to operations.
Health, Safety, and Quality Leadership
Champion health, safety, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle

About You:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in electrical and instrumentation project management, preferably within greenfield projects.
- Proven experience in E&I design, automation, and systems integration for manufacturing or processing settings.
- Deep understanding of electrical distribution, control systems, and automation technologies (PLC, SCADA, DCS, HMIs).
- Experience with Rockwell and Siemens Automation platforms.
- Experience handling 66KV and above feeders preferred; minimum experience with 33KV required.
- Familiarity with safety regulations, quality standards, and best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software, AutoCAD, and electrical design tools.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CEng) are an advantage
Key Competencies & Skill:
- Expert knowledge of Rockwell and Siemens Automation platforms, DCS systems, controllers, PLC/SCADA, IO selection, safety PLC, network switches, automation control systems, and communication protocols (Ethernet, Profibus/Profinet).
- Working knowledge of IT systems coordination: VLAN, firewall, network switches, OS management, ATP & OT security, backup management, MES.
- Knowledge of project coordination challenges (civil-structural, architect, MEP services).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
