Project Manager Level 2 – Customer Success
Job Summary:
The Project Manager Level 2 independently manages small‑to‑medium projects and serves as the primary customer interface. This role owns project execution, schedule, and customer communication while building financial and commercial accountability. The Project Manager operates with a high degree of autonomy, proactively managing risks and driving resolution to ensure successful delivery of utility-scale and commercial energy projects.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary contact for assigned customer installation projects
- Develop and execute project management plans per contract specifications
- Coordinate cross‑functionally with Sales, Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Commissioning
- Define project objectives and lead projects through the full lifecycle
- Manage project schedules and key milestones
- Identify, analyze, monitor, and escalate project risks
- Manage and execute project change orders
- Monitor project costs, invoices, and collections in partnership with Finance
- Ensure alignment between contracts, purchase orders, sales orders, and invoices
- Investigate and resolve customer execution issues
- Maintain accurate and timely project status reporting and customer correspondence
- Coordinate scheduling of site training, Golden Rows, and commissioning
- Conduct customer site visits as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of project management and/or construction management experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- PMP certification required
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and customer management skills
- Excel Intermediate experience
- Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in the solar, renewable energy, or broader energy industry
- Prior experience managing utility-scale or large commercial construction projects
- Familiarity with contract administration and change management processes
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a proactive, customer-focused approach
- Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
- Salesforce
- SAP
- Experience managing projects up to multi‑million‑dollar scope
Travel
- At least 25%
