Our client is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Project Manager to drive the execution of strategic initiatives within their growing commercial and light industrial business.
This role is responsible for the daily, medium-, and long-term planning, direction, and performance of a team of five employees supporting the sales function. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in translating business strategy into measurable projects, improving operational efficiencies, and ensuring the successful delivery of key commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of five employees, ensuring high performance and accountability.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring objectives, timelines, and deliverables are achieved.
- Analyse business and sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop meaningful reports and dashboards that support strategic decision-making.
- Translate business strategy into practical, measurable workstreams with clear ownership and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Track project outcomes, evaluate effectiveness, and ensure continuous improvement by closing the project lifecycle.
- Drive commercial improvements through data-driven decision-making and process optimisation.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
Requirements

The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate practical experience in the following:
- Proven experience in project management, successfully managing projects from planning through implementation and completion.
- Advanced data analysis and reporting skills, including extensive experience working with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical ability with the capability to convert complex data into actionable commercial insights and measurable improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategic business objectives into structured, people-focused workstreams with measurable outcomes.
- Proven leadership and people management experience, including managing direct reports and influencing stakeholders across multiple departments and seniority levels.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities that drive business performance and profitability.
- Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Relevant tertiary qualification.
