POSITION PURPOSE

The Project Manager- Change Management, is responsible for project planning and strategic project management involving significant levels of change and communication across the organization. Collaborate with the people leader/s involved in the project, impacted members/stakeholders to ensure effective planning of multi-year projects and ensure tools and processes are practicable and available to minimize risk, create efficiencies, and improve communication. Act as platform administrator for project management tools and contribute to the content of specified component parts of the project as assigned.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop comprehensive project plan, timeline, critical success path and milestones.

  • Regularly meet with stakeholders to facilitate open communication and idea sharing.

  • Share examples of best practices to facilitate functions of project management.

  • Ensure the management organization is providing timely updates on projects for reporting to committees and the board.

  • Continuously assesses performance KPIs, research and develops new capabilities, and systemically applies learning and knowledge to program.

  • Provide backup support for people leader working on the project.

  • Manage projects and programs and ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.

  • Coordinate and engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure that best in class change/project management processes are followed and there is consistent delivery of services to project teams.

  • Analyze/manage program risks to highlight areas of concern and work with teams to mitigate risks as needed.

  • Coach and provide guidance to project teams on all areas of project management and software tool utilization.

  • Collaborate with business and IT to ensure the tools meet the needs of the users.

  • Serve as the Project Management tool administrator.

  • Skilled program management capabilities and planning of change management workstream, communications, training, implementation, measurement, and adoption strategies

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-cultural organization with international members, helping them achieve excellence in voluntary roles for YPO initiatives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proof reading, with a meticulous attention to detail. Adjusts communication style appropriately to the audience and communicates effectively to maintain credibility across all levels of the organization.

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND

  • 5-8 years’ change management experience, including experience guiding high-priority initiatives, developing end-to-end strategies and leveraging standard change management practices and methodologies that address associate needs.

  • Hands-on and working knowledge of project and program management.

  • Experience collaborating on projects with a geographically dispersed team in a highly matrixed, fast-paced environment.

  • Technically proficient with Salesforce, Smartsheet, MS Visio, MS Office Suite, Timely

  • Proven experience in supporting, stewarding and executing multiple stakeholder goals and deliverables.

  • Experience with multiple project methodologies such as Scrum, Waterfall, Lean, etc.

  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience a plus.

  • Solid track record of leading strategic programs combined with the ability to execute tactical, project-level activities, and tasks.

  • Experience in professional services and/or event planning environments with multiple stakeholder groups/committees and consensus management, preferred.

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Project Management Professional required

  • Change management certification (such as PROSCI) or other designation is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to work flexible and/or extended hours as needed to accommodate members and team members in multiple time zones.

  • Willingness and ability to travel, domestically and internationally, without restrictions, approximately 0-5% per year.
