Project Manager - (Celebration Key - Bahamas)

Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering engineering, infrastructure, facilities, and capital improvement projects at Celebration Key. The role manages projects from initial scope development through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within approved budget, and in accordance with Carnival standards, applicable codes, and operational requirements.

The Project Manager works closely with the Director of Engineering, site leadership, HESS, Operations, Procurement, Finance, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to coordinate project execution while minimizing disruption to guest and site operations.

Key Accountabilities/Job Functions

1. Project Planning and Lifecycle Management

• Manage assigned projects through the full project lifecycle, including scope definition, planning, design coordination, procurement, execution, commissioning, handover, and closeout.
• Develop project scopes of work, schedules, budgets, cost estimates, milestones, risk registers, and execution plans.
• Manage project changes and variations, ensuring scope, cost, schedule, and operational impacts are documented and approved before implementation.

2. Project Execution and Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure project requirements are clearly defined and delivered.
• Coordinate site activities with Operations and Engineering to minimize disruption to guests, employees, utilities, and critical site systems.
• Conduct regular site inspections and project meetings to verify progress, workmanship, quality, safety, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Maintain professional relationships with contractors, consultants, vendors, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
• Support technical troubleshooting and development of practical solutions for infrastructure, utilities, facilities, marine, civil, electrical, mechanical, and other site improvement projects.

3. Cost, Schedule, Procurement and Risk Management

• Monitor project progress, budget, schedule, quality, and risks; identify variances and implement corrective actions when required.
• Review contractor proposals, quotations, submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and technical documentation for compliance with project requirements.
• Support procurement activities, including preparation of bid packages, technical evaluations, vendor comparisons, purchase requisitions, and recommendations for award.
• Maintain accurate project forecasts, cash flow projections, commitments, invoices, and financial reporting in coordination with Finance and Procurement.

4. HESS, Documentation, Commissioning and Closeout

• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, meeting minutes, schedules, cost reports, change orders, punch lists, commissioning records, and closeout packages.
• Ensure all project work complies with Carnival HESS requirements, permit-to-work processes, applicable Bahamian regulations, codes, standards, and environmental requirements.
• Coordinate required permits, inspections, testing, commissioning, and acceptance activities with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide clear and timely project status reports to the Director of Engineering and site leadership, highlighting progress, risks, decisions required, and upcoming milestones.
• Ensure project handover includes as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, training, spare parts, commissioning records, and other required turnover documentation.
• Perform other project management and engineering related duties as assigned.

• Strong contractor and stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments.
• Commercial awareness and ability to review quotations, budgets, invoices, change orders, and project cost reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; experience with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or similar project/document management tools is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other technical drawings and specifications.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality, documentation, and accountability.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with the Director of Engineering and site leadership.
• Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, authorities, and guests.
• Ability to read and write English to understand technical documentation, contracts, procedures, drawings, specifications, and written instructions.
• Ability to effectively present project information, lead meetings, and communicate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to multi-task, think critically, and respond effectively to changing project and operational conditions.

HESS Responsibilities

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines related to health, safety, environmental protection, and security.
• Take all necessary precautions, use personal protective equipment (PPE), safety devices, and tools correctly and consistently, as required by the nature of the work.
• Promptly report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or environmental concerns to the appropriate supervisor or HESS representative.
• Take reasonable care for your own health and safety, as well as that of colleagues and others who may be affected by your actions.
• Actively participate in HESS trainings and initiatives that promote a safe, secure, and environmentally sustainable workplace.

Essential/Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, or a related technical field preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Working knowledge of construction practices, engineering drawings, specifications, commissioning, and project closeout requirements.
• Knowledge of HESS/safety requirements, permit-to-work systems, and contractor safety management.
• Valid driver's license required.

Essential Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing construction, engineering, facilities, infrastructure, or capital improvement projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing contractors, consultants, project schedules, budgets, procurement, and project documentation.
• Experience in hospitality, resorts, cruise destinations, marine facilities, utilities, or large operational sites is preferred.
