Job Description

Position Overview

We are hiring for the position of Project Manager- Cargo Terminal for multiple upcoming projects across Pan India. The Project Manager – Cargo Terminal will be responsible for leading the planning, design, and execution of cargo terminal projects, ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to industry standards, and timely delivery. With 15 years of experience, the candidate is expected to bring advanced expertise in cargo handling systems, stakeholder management, and large-scale project delivery, while driving innovation and sustainability in logistics infrastructure.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end management of cargo terminal projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational objectives.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, while monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as required.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Establish and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, including airport authorities, logistics operators, and regulatory bodies, to address concerns and ensure compliance with standards.
• Conduct advanced risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
• Ensure the integration of state-of-the-art cargo handling systems and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
• Oversee quality control and assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present detailed project reports, updates, and documentation to clients, senior management, and other stakeholders.
• Drive innovation and sustainability in the design and construction of cargo terminal facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on cargo terminals or logistics facilities.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Proficiency in advanced project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar software.
• In-depth knowledge of cargo handling systems, terminal design standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information

Preferred Attributes

Master’s degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2.
• Extensive experience working on international airport cargo terminal projects or with global clients.
• Expertise in sustainable design and construction practices for logistics facilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
• Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies in cargo handling and logistics infrastructure.
