The Role

This is an in-office position in San Diego, CA

Position Summary

The Manager, Business Systems & Process Automation is responsible for leading and coordinating cross-departmental projects with a strong focus on business needs, workflow automation, and system optimization. This role serves as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, the development team, credit union partners, and vendors. The position acts as the internal expert and go-to resource for the organization’s proprietary software, ensuring seamless functionality, quality control, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and prioritize projects across all departments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and automation goals
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for the development team
  • Partner closely with developers throughout the software lifecycle, including planning, testing, and deployment
  • Test new software versions, enhancements, and integrations to ensure accuracy and performance
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for the organization’s proprietary software platform
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and streamline business processes
  • Act as a business and systems analyst by evaluating current processes and recommending improvements
  • Oversee quality control efforts, including validation of system changes and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with credit union partners and third-party vendors on system integrations and support
  • Maintain documentation for system processes, workflows, and project outcomes
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with a high level of quality

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, business systems analysis, or process improvement
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and system testing practices
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with proprietary or enterprise software platforms
  • Background in financial services or credit union environments
  • Familiarity with workflow automation and system integrations
  • Project management certifications (PMP, Agile, or similar)

Pay Rate:

  • $70,000 to $90,000 per year
  • The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable
