We are seeking a Project Manager (PM), Business Development (BD) Design Integration to join the Stryker Instruments Division Project Management Office (PMO) in Portage, MI. This role partners with the BD Design Integration Program Leader with a focus on leading the integration of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) BD Design into the Instruments Business Unit’s New Product Development (NPD) Portfolio.

What you will do

  • Project Charter and Planning: Lead the development of the design integration project charter, facilitating planning sessions and workshops to gather requirements, assess risks, and create a comprehensive project schedule to guide the team through integration execution, ensuring alignment with the deal model’s success criteria.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders to align strategic and operational objectives, streamlining design integration activities for optimal project outcomes.

  • Business Development Integration Objectives: Convert M&A objectives and value drivers into actionable Business Development integration goals, detailed plans, and measurable actions.

  • Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and prioritize project risks, developing and implementing robust risk mitigation and response plans.

  • Scope Definition and Work Breakdown: Engage with division and business unit stakeholders to refine project scope, secure manager approval, and create a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to guide project execution.

  • Schedule and Critical Path Analysis: Develop and manage a detailed project Gantt chart, analyzing critical paths and major workstreams to ensure timely delivery.

  • Process Development: Design and implement repeatable, scalable processes to enhance execution efficiency, enabling adoption across teams and future initiatives.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Develop a stakeholder management plan by identifying, analyzing, and addressing stakeholder expectations to ensure effective collaboration and buy-in.

What you need

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related field

  • 4+ years of experience

Preferred:

  • PMP or equivalent

  • Experience delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in the medical device industry, with familiarity in NPD and/or M&A processes

  • M&A Integration project experience

  • Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering experience

  • Experience in Microsoft Project

Travel Percentage: 20%
