Do you have a “Challenge Accepted” attitude?
Our Research and Development (R&D) department is seeking a Customer-Facing Technical Project Manager to apply communication, scheduling, and risk management skills to various R&D projects including but not limited to customer migrations, large feature releases, and customer specific development according to prioritization set by R&D management.
Experience working with agile development and cross functional teams is required.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Advising Engineers without formal authority.
- Communicating with multiple levels of management.
- Providing customer facing communications live and in writing during customer business hours which include 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM ET.
- Following change management process to control scope of deliverables.
- Collaborate with Program Management and Legal teams.
- Project managing R&D large feature development, migration, and other projects as needed including Change Management, Time Management, Communications Management, and Risk Management.
These skills will help you succeed
- Bias toward simplicity
- Ability and eagerness to take initiative and lead through ambiguity
- Confidence in developing collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Professional conversational English demonstrated in verbal and written form.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience in handling and developing software development and support processes
Minimum Requirements
- 3+ years of Program Management, Project Management, or similar experience in the software industry
- Demonstrated understanding of the difference between Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies
- Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies
- Experience creating Gantt Charts and Project Status Reports.
- Solid track record of delivering Software as a Service projects
Other Desired Experience
- Working with specific systems including but not limited to Jira, Salesforce, and HR systems
- Working with geographically distributed teams
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Certified Agile Practitioner
