Stand Together is a philanthropic community that helps America’s boldest changemakers tackle the root causes of our country’s biggest problems, from education to the economy, broken communities, and toxic division, among dozens of other pressing issues. We provide our partners with access to resources including funding, thought leadership, a network of peers, and a playbook for applying proven principles to transform lives and society.

As our community grows, so does the impact of our work on building a society where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and contribute to the greater good. Stand Together Trust is seeking a Project Manager to support the execution of high-impact activations - large-scale, community-facing initiatives that bring together partnerships, media, content, and events to drive public engagement at scale.

This role will help coordinate tasks, projects, and workstreams across internal teams and external partners, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and responsibilities remain clearclear, and work moves forward effectively. The Project Manager will independently manage defined projects and activation workstreams while also supporting activation leaders on larger, more complex initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused, with strong project management discipline and the ability to bring structure and consistency to fast-moving projects involving multiple teams.

How You Will Contribute

  • Coordinate the planning and execution of cross-functional activation initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Build and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project meetings, including preparing agendas, capturing decisions and next steps, and following up on action items.
  • Track project progress across internal teams and external partners, proactively identify risks or blockers, and escalate issues as needed to Activation Lead or Director to maintain momentum.
  • Support alignment across stakeholders by ensuring teams have visibility into priorities, responsibilities, timelines, and key decisions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience preparing project updates, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Maintain clear project documentation, status updates, briefing materials, presentations, and other project communications.
  • Help maintain operational consistency across initiatives through effective documentation, workflows, tracking systems, and project management tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project coordination, communication, and operating processes and recommend practical solutions.
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment while maintaining attention to detail and high-quality execution.
  • Facilitate clear communication and information sharing so stakeholders have the context needed to make informed decisions.
  • Contribute to activation reporting, planning and assessment.
  • Capture project learnings and contribute to after-actions that improve future strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Support budget tracking, resource coordination, and project reporting as needed.
  • Demonstrate adaptability and professionalism in a dynamic environment with evolving priorities and timelines, where principles guide decision-making rather than rigid processes.

What You Will Bring

  • 3 - 5 years of project management, project coordination, program management, or related experience, preferably in marketing, partnerships, media, events, or another cross-functional environments.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools such as schedule, scope, communications, and stakeholder management.
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and stakeholder coordination across multiple simultaneous projects.

  • Excellent organizational and process management skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience facilitating cross-functional collaboration and driving alignment across diverse teams and external partners.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect day-to-day execution to broader goals and outcomes; applying intuitive inquiry to workstreams.
  • Demonstrated execution discipline and accountability with a focus on delivering projects smoothly and efficiently.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and willingness to improve processes when opportunities arise.
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.
