Job DescriptionThis position will serve as a liaison between the Student Learning and External Relations divisions. This cross-function role will be responsible for resource, capacity, and program management for workforce training initiatives. The NCT PM will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of workforce training programs.

Essential Functions

Resource Management:

  • Develop and implement resource allocation strategies to ensure efficient utilization of personnel, equipment, and materials.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and secure necessary resources, such as subject matter experts, trainers, training materials, and lab space.

  • Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to meet project objectives and timelines.

  • Evaluate resource performance and provide feedback to improve overall effectiveness.

  • Resource management includes curriculum development, instruction, and securing training space and equipment.

Capacity Management:

  • Assess the capacity and capability of the organization to deliver workforce training programs.

  • Identify gaps and develop strategies to enhance the organization's capacity, including identifying training needs and recommending professional development opportunities for faculty and subject matter experts.

  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to determine the optimal program capacity and ensure the organization's resources align with demand.

  • Continuously monitor and evaluate capacity utilization to maintain efficiency and effectiveness in program delivery.

Program Management:

  • Plan, facilitate, execute, and manage all aspects of Student Learning resources used for workforce training programs, ensuring deliverables are on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth development and execution of program activities.

  • Monitor program progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful completion of project deliverables.

  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on program status, milestones, and outcomes.

Administrative Management: 

(position may be responsible for some or all of the following duties)

  • Maintain project tracking system.

  • Maintain and verify training records for accuracy.

  • Assist in report preparation and responding to official inquiries.

  • Assist faculty in obtaining industry-relevant certifications and credentials for the purpose of supporting workforce training.

  • Maintain and submit SL Faculty workforce credentialing paperwork.

  • Submit Student Learning Faculty payroll for workforce activities. 

  • Use labor market data to determine occupations, job openings, skills, and salaries associated with a workforce project or program.

  • Maintain the online repository for the curriculum developed for workforce training.

  • Prepare training course/program package that will be distributed to employers.

  • Perform project-related research

Skills Required

  • Verifiable and demonstrated experience in program, resource, and capacity management for workforce training
  • Experience with curriculum development, instruction support, and securing training space and equipment
  • Ability to develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations
  • Experience maintaining project tracking systems, training records, and preparing program reports
  • Ability to use labor market data to inform program planning and prepare employer-facing course packages
  • Must complete federal Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) and present required original documents by third day
  • Successful criminal history background check for finalists
