Position Summary

MIRACORP is seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to support government Production Managers in developing, revising, and maintaining approximately 180–200 learning assets annually. This position manages assigned projects throughout the full project life cycle—from initiation and planning through implementation, monitoring, and closeout.

The ideal candidate will have strong project planning, scheduling, risk management, data analysis, and stakeholder communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Project is required.

Essential Functions

  • Manage assigned learning asset projects from initiation through closeout using established project management principles and procedures. 
  • Support government Production Managers in developing, revising, sustaining, and maintaining approximately 180–200 learning assets annually. 
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings and establish project objectives, responsibilities, requirements, deliverables, milestones, and schedules. 
  • Develop, maintain, and update project management plans, schedules, and supporting documentation. 
  • Direct and coordinate project tasks, activities, resources, milestones, and deliverables. 
  • Proactively monitor project progress, dependencies, timelines, and performance. 
  • Collect and analyze project data, record metrics, and communicate findings and recommendations. 
  • Prepare status reports addressing project progress, schedules, activities, risks, roadblocks, and corrective actions. 
  • Identify and manage risks affecting project scope, cost, resources, quality, compliance, and schedule. 
  • Develop and monitor risk mitigation and corrective action plans. 
  • Establish and maintain project communications, change requests, and change control documentation. 
  • Update project plans, schedules, risk reports, lessons learned registers, and other project records. 
  • Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate weekly status meetings and participate in ad hoc meetings. 
  • Document meeting decisions, action items, emerging risks, and recommendations. 
  • Collaborate with government Production Managers, faculty, subject matter experts, business units, and learning asset development teams. 
  • Review learning asset deliverables for completeness, quality, compliance, and alignment with project requirements. 
  • Recommend the acceptability of complete learning asset deliverables. 
  • Support the development of training content, instructional materials, learning assessments, and job support tools. 
  • Recommend process improvements and risk reduction strategies related to schedule, quality, performance, and compliance. 
  • Maintain accurate project information using Microsoft Project, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, DAU’s Competency Requirements Management System, and other designated tools. 
  • Develop presentations, reports, articles, communications, and other project related work products. 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a United States citizen. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, education, instructional design, or a related field preferred. 
  • Minimum of three years of professional project management experience; three to five years preferred. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies, scheduling, risk management, and change control. 
  • Experience supporting learning asset development, training development, instructional systems, or learning assessments. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project is required. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and Microsoft Teams. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem solving, and time management skills. 
  • Excellent customer facing, written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders concurrently. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable government background determination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional certification. 
  • Experience supporting Defense Acquisition University, Warfighter University, the Department of Defense, or another federal agency. 
  • Experience managing curriculum, course development, learning assets, or training sustainment projects. 
  • Experience working with government Production Managers, faculty, subject matter experts, and cross functional project teams. 
  • Familiarity with DAU’s Competency Requirements Management System or comparable requirements and project management system.
