Job Description
We are currently seeking a Project Management Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Provide project management expertise for all project activities by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, project team members, and various groups, while applying recognized project management best practices and methodologies;
- Coordinate the overall implementation of the new oversight mandate, including developing, maintaining, and evolving integrated work plans, schedules, and delivery strategies;
- Lead the planning and execution of the various project streams covering policies, operations, and technologies;
- Coordinate business activities related to the technology stream and work closely with the IT Program Lead during the planning, solution selection, configuration, implementation, and transition to operational support phases;
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring the delivery of the defined scope and work plans in compliance with quality standards and established timelines;
- Establish delivery tracking mechanisms, performance indicators, and escalation processes to support timely and informed decision-making;
- Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships to proactively identify delivery-related risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies;
- Provide regular updates to senior management and/or the sponsor/client regarding project progress and delivered value;
- Ensure that all project deliverables are completed, including all related documentation and associated processes;
- Support production readiness activities and transitions to operational teams for the areas under their responsibility, ensuring that operational readiness, oversight, and technical readiness criteria are met;
- Perform any other related activities or produce any other related deliverables required as part of the mandate.
Qualifications
- Diplôme universitaire ou diplôme d’études collégiales en technologies de l’information, en gestion de projet ou en analyse d’affaires;
- Certification Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Minimum de dix (10) années d’expérience démontrée au sein de projets d’envergure, complexes et pluriannuels impliquant plus de 40 membres d’équipe, ainsi que la gestion simultanée de multiples initiatives couvrant les domaines des politiques, des processus d’affaires, des opérations et des technologies;
- Minimum de quatre (4) années d’expérience récente et démontrée en gestion de projet dans le cadre d’initiatives complexes d’affaires et de technologie;
- Minimum de cinq (5) années d’expérience démontrée dans la livraison de projets stratégiques utilisant des méthodologies de livraison Agile ou hybrides (Agile/Waterfall);
- Expérience démontrée dans l’identification, l’évaluation, le suivi et l’atténuation des risques, enjeux, dépendances et interdépendances de projets;
- Expérience démontrée dans la production de documentation claire, concise et professionnelle destinée autant aux membres de la haute direction qu’aux intervenants techniques;
- Expérience démontrée dans l’animation d’ateliers, de réunions et de discussions visant à atteindre un consensus, résoudre des problématiques et faire progresser les objectifs de projet;
- Expérience démontrée dans l’élaboration, la mise à jour et la gestion de plans de projet intégrés, d’échéanciers, de dépendances et de feuilles de route de livraison couvrant plusieurs volets de travail;
- Doit être admissible à l’obtention de la cote de sécurité suivante : Cote de fiabilité (Reliability Status), nécessitant un minimum de cinq (5) années d’historique personnel vérifiable;
- Excellente communication en anglais. L'anglais est requis, le poste étant basé à Ottawa.

- Connaissance démontrée des solutions et services infonuagiques Microsoft Azure, acquise dans le cadre de projets de mise en œuvre technologique Azure ou par une participation active à ceux-ci.

Skills Required
- University degree or college diploma in information technology, project management, or business analysis
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- At least 10 years of demonstrated experience managing large, complex, multi-year projects involving more than 40 team members and multiple concurrent initiatives
- At least 4 years of recent, demonstrated project management experience on complex business and technology initiatives
- At least 5 years of demonstrated experience delivering strategic projects using Agile or hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodologies
- Experience identifying, evaluating, tracking, and mitigating project risks, issues, dependencies, and interdependencies
- Experience producing clear, concise, professional documentation for senior management and technical stakeholders
- Experience facilitating workshops, meetings, and discussions to build consensus, resolve issues, and advance project objectives
- Experience developing, updating, and managing integrated project plans, schedules, dependencies, and delivery roadmaps across multiple workstreams
- Must be eligible to obtain Reliability Status security clearance and provide at least five years of verifiable personal history
- Excellent English communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud solutions gained through Azure technology implementation projects or active participation
- Legally authorized to work for any employer in Canada
