We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in airport and airline IT systems to lead and deliver complex technology projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years of experience managing IT projects in commercial aviation environments, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving successful outcomes within scope, budget, and timeline. We’re looking for an individual who is passionate about project management to deliver impactful projects that shape the future of travel technology. If you thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy driving results, this role is for you. This is a hybrid role and would require you to be in the San Jose office 50% of the time.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution:
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
Define scope, objectives, and deliverables aligned with organizational goals.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage with airport authorities, airline partners, and internal teams.
Communicate project status, risks, and milestones effectively to stakeholders.
Risk & Compliance:
Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
Ensure compliance with aviation IT standards (IATA, ICAO) and cybersecurity protocols.
Budget & Cost Control:
Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost efficiency.
Team Leadership:
Lead cross-functional teams, including IT engineers, vendors, and consultants.
Foster collaboration and maintain accountability for deliverables.
Technology Integration:
Oversee implementation of airport systems such as passenger processing, baggage handling, and operational control systems.
Coordinate integration with airline IT platforms and third-party solutions.
 
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
3 - 5+ years of experience in IT project management within airport or airline environments.
Proven track record of delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
Strong knowledge of airport systems (CUTE/CUPPS, BHS, FIDS, AODB) and airline IT processes.
Familiarity with ITIL, PMP, or PRINCE2 methodologies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
 
KPIs & Performance Expectations:
Project Delivery:
Deliver 95% of projects on time and within budget.
Stakeholder Satisfaction:
Achieve a minimum 90% satisfaction score from stakeholders in post-project surveys.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate 100% of critical risks before impacting project timelines.
Compliance:
Ensure 100% adherence to aviation IT standards and cybersecurity protocols.
Resource Utilization:
Maintain resource allocation efficiency within ±10% variance of planned estimates.
Change Management:
Implement approved changes with zero major disruptions to operational systems.
Reporting Accuracy:
Provide weekly status reports with 100% accuracy and transparency.
 
Preferred Skills:
PowerBI
ServiceNow (SNOW)
MS Office (Projects, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
Experience with cloud-based solutions and cybersecurity in aviation.
Understanding of regulatory compliance and data privacy laws in aviation.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
