This Intern Program role strives to attract top-performing undergraduates from local universities majoring in Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or similar disciplines. The role offers projects that advance Smith+Nephew and the students' careers, providing meaningful work experiences, team-building events, and social activities. Successful interns will gain valuable experience in the medical device industry, potentially crafting their career paths and opening future employment opportunities.
 

What will you be doing?

• Work closely with managers to complete specifically identified projects.

• Present project conclusions to senior leadership.

• Assist the Project Manager in tracking daily project progress for transfer projects:

(a) Help the Project Manager with administrative tasks for the product transfer value stream project plan and review kick-off.

(b) Lead mini-projects:

• Set up the project folder and complete the checklist in Microsoft Teams following the PRB structure.

• Develop the project communication plan.
   

What will you need to be successful?

Candidates must be currently enrolled as undergraduates at an accredited university, majoring in Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar discipline, with excellent academic standing (3.0 GPA preferred). Previous relevant intern, part-time, or apprenticeship experience is preferred.
 

Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and shown leadership with project management experience. Effective communication, high learning agility, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams are crucial. Candidates must lead tight deadlines, multiple tasks, and dynamic business conditions, with strong time management and organizational skills.
