The intern will create status reports, update project dashboards, and assist in preparing presentations for stakeholder meetings. This includes tracking project metrics, identifying trends, and helping to communicate project progress to various audiences including senior management, Navy clients, and cross-functional teams working on network operations and cybersecurity initiatives.

Stakeholder Communication

The intern will support communication efforts by drafting emails, scheduling meetings, and maintaining stakeholder contact lists for both internal Leidos teams and Navy personnel. They will assist in coordinating project communications, ensuring that all team members receive timely updates, and helping to facilitate effective information flow between different project participants working on NMCI backbone services.

Process Improvement

The intern will have opportunities to identify process improvement opportunities specifically focused on gaining efficiencies and effectiveness for the SMIT program. They will contribute to the development of project management templates, checklists, and standard operating procedures that align with government contracting requirements and help document best practices for future SMIT project reference.
