This 3-month Project Management Internship is based within Boeing's Aerospace Innovation Centre (AIC) and supports an Aerospace Engineering Research and Technology Development Programme delivered in collaboration with industry-leading partners and academic institutions.
The position will support the coordination of programme activities relating to storage, distribution and structures integration technologies, helping to drive innovation from research through to practical application. Working in a highly collaborative environment, this role will contribute to the successful planning, delivery and integration of programme activities aligned with Boeing's innovation and technology objectives.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse, geographically dispersed, innovative engineering environment while supporting time-sensitive tasks and prioritising effectively.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and implement an innovative automated workflow solution within Boeing's project management tools to support live programme updates, real-time data and project management best practice.
- Support the project management team with planning, coordination and day-to-day delivery of an Aerospace Engineering Research and Technology Development Programme.
- Assist the team with tracking project schedules, milestones, action items and deliverables to help keep workstreams on time and aligned with programme goals.
- Help coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, capture notes and follow up on actions with internal teams, industry partners and academic collaborators.
- Help organise and maintain project documentation, presentations, status updates and other programme records to support clear communication and effective project execution.
- Support the project management team with collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Gain practical experience in project management within an advanced aerospace innovation environment, while supporting the successful delivery of research and technology objectives.
Basic Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in, or recently completed, a degree in Project Management, Business Management or a related field, or attained an industry recognised project management qualification.
- Basic understanding of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, tracking actions and supporting delivery against milestones.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word, to support reporting, presentations and general project coordination.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based, cross-functional environment while supporting multiple tasks and priorities.
- Familiarity with project management tools is desirable, such as Microsoft Project or similar platforms.
- Familiarity of Smartsheet solutions.
