Are you interested in how large-scale buildings and infrastructure projects are planned, coordinated, and delivered? As a Project Management Intern in AECOM Netherlands’ Buildings & Places team, you’ll get hands-on experience supporting multidisciplinary teams on real projects—from early design through execution.

You’ll work alongside civil engineers, architects, planners, and consultants on a wide range of building and infrastructure developments, helping keep projects on track, on budget, and aligned with client expectations.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Management Intern, your tasks may include:

• Supporting project managers with planning, scheduling, and progress tracking
• Preparing meeting minutes, reports, presentations, and client communications
• Assisting with risk management, design coordination, and internal workflows
• Helping track project budgets, contract status, and document control
• Participating in team meetings with architects, engineers, and stakeholders
• Supporting tender and procurement processes
• Visiting project sites to observe construction or coordination efforts
• Contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing efforts

Compensation and Duration

This is a paid internship with a monthly compensation of €550 and reimbursement for public transport costs. The internship will run for a minimum duration of four months.

You’re a Good Fit If You...

• Are in the final year of a study program in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field
• Are curious about how complex building and infrastructure projects are delivered
• Are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in teams
• Have strong written and spoken English skills (Dutch is a plus)
• Are eager to learn project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, BIM 360, or similar)
• Have a proactive attitude and want to take initiative
