Position Summary
The Project Manager will report to the Head of Insights and Operations and play a critical role in driving the successful execution of Samsung Online initiatives. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects originating from global, regional, or locally initiated teams, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional organizational skills with strong stakeholder management to facilitate seamless cross-functional collaboration and deliver operational excellence.
Role and Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements for Samsung Online initiatives.
- Manage end-to-end project execution, including initiatives like checkout enhancement, UI/UX improvements, and system upgrades.
- Proactively monitor project progress, identify risks or roadblocks, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
UAT and Technical Issue Management:
- Oversee and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate deliverables for projects such as checkout enhancement and UI/UX improvements.
- Work closely with technical teams to create, manage, and track JIRA tickets for system bugs, enhancements, and resolution of project-related issues.
- Ensure thorough testing and quality assurance to achieve seamless project implementation.
Operational Excellence and Process Improvement:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including SOPs, workflows, and project status updates, to drive clarity and alignment across teams.
- Analyze project outcomes and identify areas for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in future projects.
- Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks and best practices, delivering projects within agreed scope, timeline, and budget.
Reporting:
- Prepare and deliver clear and concise project reports and presentations for stakeholders and senior management.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Serve as the central point of contact for all project stakeholders, facilitating seamless communication across internal teams and external partners.
- Build strong working relationships across functions, ensuring alignment on project priorities, milestones, and business objectives.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, performance metrics, and key milestones.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in eCommerce, Consulting, or Consumer Electronics industries.
- Proven experience working within a PMO environment, with a strong understanding of project governance frameworks and processes.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, or Microsoft Project for tracking, reporting, and issue management.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive project outcomes.
- Highly systematic, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with a focus on project quality and on-time delivery.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across global, regional, and local teams.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a proactive and adaptable mindset.
