We currently have an opening for a Project Management Advisor.
The Project Management Advisor (PMA) facilitates required state level coordination to enable the review and approval process and is responsible for the identification, management and resolution of enterprise level risks and issues. The PMA will regularly analyze, assess, and report on IT projects and programs within their assigned portfolio, and will employ the Enterprise Project Management Office’s (EPMO) Quality Management System and industry best practices to ensure assigned IT projects and programs are executed based on the State Chief Information Officer’s (SCIO) established standards for IT project/program management. The PMA works closely with the agency PMOs, portfolio managers and IT project/program managers to ensure consistency and transparency in how the state approaches project risk, change in project scope, schedule or budget, statewide IT procurement, enterprise architecture requirements, enterprise security standards, project management best practices and how to properly establish IT projects and programs to meet quality assurance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide leadership, collaboration, communication, and inter-agency coordination coupled with management over a broad range of large and complex IT projects and programs.
• Provide portfolio, program, and IT project management with an emphasis on employing quality management systems and industry best practices.

About the Division:
The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) provides professional oversight and governance to facilitate successful Information Technology (IT) programs and projects through assessing projects and facilitating resolution of issues, risks, and roadblocks and by providing early warnings if a project is likely to fail. The EPMO also engages agencies in understanding and applying IT portfolio management concepts to IT programs, projects, and investments (plans and budgets).
