About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Project Logistics Coordinator to join our Perth office for a 12-month fixed-term assignment. This position plays a key coordination role supporting project logistics, particularly related to capital and operating spares. The successful candidate will act as a central interface between internal teams (maintenance, engineering, warehousing) and external contractors and suppliers.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating the preservation, movement, documentation, and export of materials while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities
  • Capital & Operating Spares Coordination:
    Oversee the tracking, readiness, and mobilisation/export of capital and operating spares for the project lifecycle.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments (maintenance, engineering, warehousing, cataloguing, quality, and compliance) and external logistics contractors and service providers.
  • Contractor Interface:
    Act as the main point of contact between the project’s logistics contractor and the internal maintenance team, ensuring alignment and responsiveness.
  • Warehouse Coordination:
    Liaise closely with the warehouse team to support the proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials.
  • Export & Freight Support:
    Facilitate the export of remaining spares by supporting contractors, resolving technical queries, and ensuring timely dispatch and material availability.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    Ensure all logistics activities are carried out in line with applicable regulations and standards, and maintain accurate records for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Problem Solving:
    Proactively address logistical and freight forwarding issues using critical thinking and a practical approach to ensure minimal disruption to project schedules.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with the cataloguing, quality, and compliance teams to ensure materials master data and documentation meet internal standards.


RequirementsIdeal Candidate Profile
  • 5+ years’ experience in logistics coordination, warehousing, or materials management within the oil & gas, energy, or heavy industrial sectors

  • Experience coordinating spares and equipment logistics within major capital or operational projects

  • Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to manage interfaces across multiple departments and external contractors

  • Solid understanding of international and domestic freight forwarding, preservation practices, and export documentation

  • Experience working with warehousing systems and ERP tools (SAP, JDE, Maximo, etc.); SAP S/4HANA exposure is highly desirable

  • Highly organised, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment

  • Knowledge of Australian regulatory requirements for freight, customs, and dangerous goods (advantageous)
