Your role
In your as Project Leader Engineering you are responsible for leading multidisciplinary projects. Together with your colleagues you will also identify and capitalize synergies between multiple projects that are running in parallel to learn from others.
Overall you are continuously identifying and mitigating project risks. You know how to make optimum use of and further develop the skills of your project team members. Besides leading your own projects, you will be kept up-to-date on most recent equipment and process developments. Your suggestions for better working methods and/or process improvements are highly appreciated within our organization.
Further insights in your responsibilities:
- Oversee the project handover from sales, using customer requirements and as-sold solutions to initiate the engineering phase.
- Collaborate with lead engineers, customers, and project management to define system functionalities and create a comprehensive project plan.
- In the detail phase, manage production and procurement specifications while coordinating with supply chain and suppliers to ensure quality, planning, logistics, and costs.
- Lead system emulations to validate controls design and prepare for site installation and commissioning.
- Supervise on-site installations, guide commissioning and testing, and ensure successful customer acceptance and go-live celebrations.
Your profile

Knowledge of Mechanics, Electronics, Controls or Mechatronics

Several years of working experience as project leader or lead engineer in technical surroundings.

Good (verbally and in writing) command of the English language is required, Dutch is preferred

Willing to travel internationally (15-20% of your time)
About the team
The Project Engineering department is responsible for the worldwide execution of projects in which the different components (mechanical, electromechanical and controls) of our material handling systems are implemented. Working under the supervision of a Project Leader, closely working together with the Integration Manager, Layout and Electrical Engineers, the Controls Project Engineer is part of a multidisciplinary team of Engineers.

This position offers a competitive salary range of €5.000 to €6.300 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
