Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a design authority for a particular engineering discipline and completing the corresponding engineering assignments.

This role is contributing to the the Consumer Industries division of Robotics Business in South Korea. Main stakeholders include customers in the Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Laboratory, and Industrial Automation industries.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors.
Coaching the project engineers and designers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations.
Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams (less than 10 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects.
Applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
Qualifications for the role
Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum 7 years of experience in industrial robotics, including robot system installation, commissioning, operation, and project execution
Minimum 5 years of project management experience
Strong understanding of industrial robotics and automation systems; experience with ABB RobotStudio, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA is preferred
Ability to quickly understand and deploy globally developed robotic automation solutions and adapt them to local customer requirements
Experience working with customers in Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Laboratory or related industries is preferred
Business-level English and fluent Korean, both written and spoken
