This position reports to:
Engineering Manager__
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for traction system customer projects. Each day, you will ensure the activities related to all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by acting as a technical design authority for complete projects and drive the corresponding design and engineering activities.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to the Motion Business - Traction Division. Main stakeholders are product management, project management, R&D and production.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Technical lead of the project team of specialist engineers for complex engineering projects, in collaboration with the commercial project manager
- Technical representation of the project towards the customer and suppliers
- Ensuring project execution within the given time, cost, and scope framework
- Drive decisions and maintain close collaboration with other engineering teams (locally and globally), R&D, product management, project management and other relevant functions
- Actively promoting the application and continuous improvement of engineering practices and processes

Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor, Master or PhD in electrical, software or mechanical engineering
- At least 5 years work experience in a technical customer focused area, ideally in the field of railway, E-bus or heavy electric vehicle propulsion
- Technical Project management experience
- Strong level of self-motivation, curiosity, and a structured approach to work
- Team player with excellent communication skills in English and preferably in German
