- Maintain a visible field presence across the project site, conducting daily inspections and verifying compliance with HSSE requirements.
- Monitor high-risk construction activities including excavations, drilling, dredging, diving operations, lifting activities, equipment assembly, maintenance, and demobilization activities.
- Review and verify technical safety documentation including Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Job Safety Analyses, and Permit to Work requirements.
- Support implementation of HSSE controls and technical standards throughout all phases of construction activities.
- Identify HSSE improvement opportunities, propose corrective actions, and follow up on implementation to strengthen project performance.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and verification of emergency response equipment and resources.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, reporting activities, and environmental compliance monitoring across the project.

- Legal accreditation to practice as a Técnico Superior de Prevención de Riesgos Laborales (PRL), supported by the required qualifications under Spanish legislation.
- Mandatory accreditation in the Safety at Work (Seguridad en el Trabajo) specialty.
- 3–5 years of experience in field safety supervision, ideally within construction, civil engineering, port infrastructure, or similar project environments.
- Strong knowledge of the Spanish Occupational Risk Prevention framework, including Ley 31/1995, RD 1627/1997, and related regulatory requirements.
- Experience overseeing implementation of Plan de Seguridad y Salud (PSS) and Coordinación de Actividades Empresariales (CAE) processes.
- Ability to identify emerging risks, influence contractors, challenge unsafe practices constructively, and provide practical field-based guidance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across project teams, contractors, supervision teams, and terminal operations.
- Native or bilingual Spanish and intermediate English proficiency.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.
