The Project Financial Analyst position with Donaldson’s IT team is perfect for someone who enjoys both project management and financial analysis. By assisting in project and operational reporting, planning, and tracking project financials, you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring the success of various initiatives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Review IT financial results highlighting performance objective variances and identifying trends. 
  • Create reports to support monitoring performance metrics.
  • Documentation, maintenance and tracking around IT contracts, purchase orders, invoicing, top vendors, and IT Spend.
  • Provide data analysis of contract and licensing spend and the YOY impact to financials.
  • Assist with procurement activities, including purchasing, tracking, and inventory knowledge for Donaldson’s computer hardware / accessories and license management.
  • Conduct analysis on prepaid expense spend which includes tracking, variance analysis.
  • Assist in preparing Capital Expenditure Requests and tracking against spend.
  • Support financial analysis of capital projects using realistic benefit cases to ensure investments are made diligently.
  • Assist in the annual IT budget and quarterly forecast processes.
  • SharePoint Maintenance

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree desired in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or Business Administration, or similar combination of experience and education.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Solid organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong analytical approach to problem solving, with a focus on managing tasks with appropriate urgency in a results-oriented global team environment.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment, deliver high quality performance on multiple, simultaneous strategic, value-added tasks and priorities.
  • SharePoint, Service Now, BI and Oracle Experience preferred.
