REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF FINANCE
FLSA STATUS: EXEMPT
SUMMARY: The Project Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting for capital projects and strategic initiatives. This role partners with project managers, operations, and senior leadership to ensure projects are financially viable, stay within budget, and deliver expected returns.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate project feasibility, ROI, and funding requirements
Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking reports
Perform variance analysis to identify deviations from budget and recommend corrective actions
Support capital allocation decisions through scenario modeling and financial analysis
Track project expenditures, timelines, and financial performance against approved plans
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between financial and operational goals
Assist in preparing business cases, investment memos, and executive presentations
Monitor and evaluate project risks, including cost overruns and revenue assumptions
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies
Support post-project reviews to assess financial performance vs. projections
NO SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities; however direction may be provided to project coordinators, QA and engineering personnel, and to shop personnel. Direction is provided in the spirit of organizing and prioritizing the tasks required to complete projects on time and within budget.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business administration and 0-3 years of experience
Experience with ERP-based accounting system, Global Shop
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Strong analytical and computational skills
Advanced proficiency in financial tools (e.g., Power BI, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
Demonstrated leadership abilities
Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
