About the Role

We’re looking for a Project Executive, Power & Energy that will be responsible for establishing and scaling RNGD’s Power sector, including power generation, utilities, energy infrastructure, substations, solar, and related mission-critical systems. This role blends strategic growth leadership with hands-on operational oversight to build a high-performing sector from the ground up. The Sector Leader will develop market strategy, lead execution, build teams, and secure anchor clients while ensuring safety, quality, and financial discipline. This role requires a builder’s mindset and strong leadership presence to stand up a new sector and guide it into sustained growth.

Core Responsibilities

  • Sector Strategy and Market Development
    • Develop and execute the growth strategy for the Power sector, including market entry, service offerings, and long-term scalability.
    • Establish foundational operating systems, performance standards, and cultural expectations.
    • Serve as executive sponsor for early anchor projects and strategic pursuits within power and energy markets.
  • Operational Excellence and Project Delivery
    • Oversee power sector project execution to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and margin objectives are achieved.
    • Provide hands-on leadership support to project teams during early-stage sector development.
    • Drive disciplined project selection, risk management, and operational controls appropriate for complex power sector project work.
  • Business Development and Client Engagement
    • Lead client strategy and relationship development within power markets.
    • Support pursuit strategy, interviews, and contract negotiations for strategic projects.
    • Partner with Marketing and Business Development to strengthen sector brand presence and market visibility.
  • Team Leadership and Culture Building
    • Establish clear expectations, accountability, and pathways for growth.
    • Model RNGD’s culture and core values while building a safety-first, high-performance environment.
    • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing power sector leadership and project team.
  • Financial and Commercial Management
    • Own sector-level budgeting, forecasting, backlog development, and financial performance.
    • Support estimating strategies, pricing decisions, and commercial structuring for industrial projects.
    • Establish KPIs and reporting cadence to support scalable growth.
  • Enterprise Collaboration
    • Partner with shared services and vertically integrated teams to support sector ramp-up.
    • Ensure alignment between sector goals and enterprise-wide initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in power, energy, utility, or EPC construction environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex construction projects and teams, power sector or related preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience owning or influencing P&L performance.
  • Proven ability to build teams, systems, and processes in growing or emerging business units.

    • Serves as a trusted advisor during pursuit, planning, and delivery phases.
    • Represents RNGD within industry associations and energy-sector communities to strengthen market presence.
  • Risk and Performance Management
    • Evaluates contractual, regulatory, operational, and financial risk across Power sector projects.
    • Ensures early identification and mitigation of high-impact exposures.
    • Monitors KPIs, backlog health, margin performance, and resource allocation to drive disciplined growth.
  • Leadership and Culture Building
    • Recruits, mentors, and develops high-performing Power sector leaders and project teams.
    • Establishes clear expectations and drives accountability across all leadership levels.
    • Promotes a collaborative, high-performance culture rooted in safety, innovation, and execution excellence.
  • Financial Acumen
    • Maintains full P&L awareness across sector projects and initiatives.
    • Evaluates forecasting, cost control, and margin performance proactively.
    • Drives disciplined capital deployment and resource allocation decisions.
