This position will play an important role in the end-to-end design, deployment, and lifecycle management of Honeywell's ICT orchestration platforms and Security Management & Information Systems (SMIS) across Kuwait Airport projects and multiple Upper Gulf Region programs. The role is responsible for translating project requirements into secure, scalable, and fully integrated technical solutions while ensuring alignment with Project Requirements, Honeywell standards, aviation regulations, and ICT/cybersecurity best practices.
Responsibilities- Lead the technical design and architecture of ICT orchestration systems, security platforms, and SMIS components, ensuring interoperability across subsystems such as VSS, SACS, SMIS, BMS, Fire Alarm, and command and control environments.
- Oversee deployment of security systems infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualization clusters, network segmentation, and central monitoring environments.
- Manage Genetec server infrastructure, including Directory servers, Archiver/Failover Archiver roles, Media Gateways, and associated virtualization resources.
- Conduct system health checks and performance tuning for Genetec environments, including database optimization, failover validation, and redundancy testing.
- Lead commissioning and acceptance testing for all Genetec components, ensuring proper configuration, device enrollment, and event/alarm workflows
- Manage the central system environment, ensuring high availability, redundancy, performance optimization, and compliance with cybersecurity frameworks.
- Coordinate system integration activities across Honeywell teams, subcontractors, OEM vendors, and airport stakeholders to ensure seamless functionality and data flow.
- Ensure adherence to aviation security standards, local regulatory requirements, and Honeywell engineering guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to align technical milestones, manage risks, and ensure timely, secure, and efficient project execution.
- Provide technical leadership during design reviews, documentation development, and handover to client.
- Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as per agreed scheduled as directed by PM
- Ensure customer satisfaction through direct liaison with client representatives, customers and operational recipients.
- Ensure delivery of value to Honeywell clients and customers.
- Support PM to minimize the Project Cost and Time and prepare progress reports.
- Monitor threats, risks and opportunities during the execution of the project and report in a timely manner.
- Follow the Honeywell SOPs, HOS, HSE and Quality Systems while executing assigned projects
- Carry out hazard and risk assessments for all tasks as per company policy and procedures.
- Report near misses, incidents and other opportunities for improvement.
Area of Experience:
- Large Scale Project Experience
- Multi-National Project Experience
- Airport Security System experience preferred
- Honeywell and other 3rd Party Security Systems experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or IT Engineering.
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in airport-scale or critical infrastructure security systems.
- Expert knowledge of Genetec Security Center (certification preferred).
- Strong experience with VMware vSphere, virtual networking, and storage (certification preferred).
- Proven experience in system integration, video analytics, and smart surveillance.
- Expert knowledge of IP networking, system infrastructure, system integrations.
- Knowledge of aviation safety/security compliance standards.
