Project Engineer

Aerospace China Engineering (ACE)  | Shanghai  |  On-site

As a Project Engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, you will support the planning and execution of aerospace engineering projects, with a strong focus on project coordination, customer communication, technical issue follow-up, and disciplined delivery. You will work across customers, the China engineering team, and global Engineering Centers of Excellence to keep scope, schedule, actions, risks, and technical deliverables aligned.

You will report directly to our Engineering Manager and work from our Shanghai location on an on-site schedule. This is an early-career Project Engineer role for someone who already has hands-on project engineering experience and is ready to take ownership of defined work packages and customer-facing coordination, while continuing to deepen aerospace systems knowledge.

In this role, you will impact the successful integration and execution of Honeywell Aerospace mechanical systems and power-system projects, including Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) applications, by helping teams make timely decisions, close open issues, maintain reliable engineering data, and meet customer and program commitments.

  • Develop gap analyses and practical closure plans for technical, schedule, documentation, and interface issues, then drive actions to completion.
  • Coordinate the preparation, review, release, and configuration of engineering deliverables such as interface documents, analysis reports, compliance evidence, and customer presentations.
  • Support system definition, performance assessment, trade studies, conceptual design activities, and low-complexity technical analyses as required.
  • Facilitate clear technical communication between customers and global teams, including accurate bilingual communication or translation when needed.
  • Build productive working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders through responsiveness, transparency, and reliable follow-through.
