Vertiv is expanding its manufacturing, engineering, and support operations in Letterkenny (Co. Donegal), Burnfoot (Co. Donegal), and Derry (Northern Ireland), creating over 200 jobs by mid-2026 to meet AI-driven demand. The Letterkenny site specializes in designing and manufacturing customized, pre-fabricated modular data center buildings and power solutions.
We are seeking two Project Engineer Electrical Engineers to join the team
POSITION SUMMARY
- Designing and developing modular buildings for customized solutions in accordance with highest standards and demanding requests.
- Electrical design on projects (Electrical, Fire Alarm and Controls systems) during factory integration in Letterkenny
- Integration with other disciplines; architectural, structural, mechanical. Focus on general design, concepts, calculation, etc.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cooperation with the design team in the development of CD (construction documentation) sets
- Preparation of manufacturing documentation
- Preparing BoMs for installation material and non-critical equipment
- Engineering supervision and support when equipping modules at the factory (Letterkenny)
- Engineering support to service team and subcontractors
- Involvement during the design stage trough content and constructability review, responsible for providing feedback (comments) into the design community.
- Collaboration with local service and with the company operations team (project management, quality control, manufacturing, testing team and construction) in defining a project deployment strategy and executing the project
- Responsible for:
- As Built Documentation
- FAT procedures (L3)
- Installation manuals
- Assisting with Punch list items
- Etc.
- Communication with other Vertiv engineering specialists in order to implement the best solutions
- Collaborate with local service to beneficially improve project execution
- Engineering supervision and support during site constructions and commissioning
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor or master’s in electrical engineering
- Required experience 1+ years on similar positions
- Active user of: Windows, MS Office incl. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD
- Proficient modeling skills required, preferred: Revit; EPLAN
- Strong knowledge of English language, (B2)

Skills Required
