Job DescriptionThe Project Engineer will have responsibility for leading the development and launch process of assemblies new products. This includes coordinating all facets and functions within the project from project ideation through production launch.
QualificationsManufacturing Support & Process Development
- Review internal and external designs for manufacturability.
- Processes that are typical to our manufacturing, process include welding, brazing, machining, fabrication, forming, and assembly.
- Develop new processes to both improve current products as well as allow for the launch of new products.
- Take these process development ideas through the launch phase.
Capital & Tooling Procurement
- Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods.
- Develop manufacturing work cells and procure the necessary capital and tooling to successfully build end-use products.
- Manage all portions of the capital acquisition process including CER development through the final implementation and sign-off of the equipment.
Continuous Improvement
- Ability to work on teams with a creative mind for continually improving processes/systems using Lean methodologies and concepts.
- Identify and work to implement continuous improvement concepts and ideas.
Project Planning
- Ability to plan projects from start to finish using project management tools.
- Demonstrate ability to identify project requirements, divide projects into manageable tasks and deliverables while mitigating risks and obstacles to ensure the plan is completed on time.
Advanced Product Quality Compliance (APQP)
- Lead overall APQP documentation for responsible projects.
- Coordinate with necessary internal resources to complete tasks and ensure proper documentation.
Additional Responsibilities
- Uphold and comply with all safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
- Be an active participant in the Senior's safety process.
- Participate in SOS initiatives Safety & Quality over Delivery Mindset
EDUCATION
- 4 Year degree in Engineering or 4 Year BSME Degree preferred (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial)
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, medical, and/or metal fabrication preferred.
- Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement concepts
- ERP and MRP experience, Infor Syteline highly preferred

The expected salary range for this position is $95-115K per year. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
