Our Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence center with around 3000+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. Over the last decade, INOPC has evolved to become the largest engineering hub serving more than 40+ countries across different energy sectors.
This position caters to Grid Automation commissioning team overseeing the installation and commissioning of Bay level secondary equipment’s. Manage completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Responsible for SCADA Engineering & Testing for overseas projects. Supports continuous improvement of engineering process and system design via provision of lessons learned feedback.
- Represents the Engineering function at project meetings and design review meetings
- Responsible for SCADA design, optimized engineering, testing, and troubleshooting of
- Substation Automation system according to the customer specifications.
- Assess, identify deviation and Risks in Customer requirement and required standard & regulatory requirement during Tender.
- Acts a liaison with the Customer about Hitachi Energy’s automation solution’s adherence to customer requirements and required standard & regulation
- Knowledge of relevant international standards. ex: IEEE, IEC, ANSI etc.
- Knowledge on Cyber security concepts.
- Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains good communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and as a part of team.
Your background:
- You hold bachelor’s degree. Minimum 6+ years of experience in Substation automation system.
- Substation automation protocols and communication systems.
- Knowledge on Hitachi Energy (ABB) Substation Automation & Engineering software’s such as IET, Microscada, PCM, RTU etc.
- Knowledge on other manufacturer substation Automation software’s.
- Knowledge on communication protocol – IEC 61850, IEC 60870 – 5-101, 103 , 104, LON , SPA , DPN3 , Modbus etc…
- Knowledge on SCADA testing and validation
- Knowledge on various Protocol simulators.
- Knowledge on SCIL, VB Scripts, PLC and Structured text.
- Knowledge on Cyber security.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in Substation Automation systems
- Experience with SCADA engineering and testing for overseas projects
- Knowledge of substation automation protocols and communication systems
- Experience with Hitachi Energy (ABB) Substation Automation & Engineering software such as IET, MicroSCADA, PCM, RTU
