Overview:

Our client, a well-established and respected civil engineering firm, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their growing Land Development team in Allentown, PA. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of site and land development projects throughout the region, including commercial, residential, and municipal projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical design skills, experience in stormwater management and grading design, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare site layout, grading, and stormwater management designs for land development projects.

Assist in the preparation of construction plans, technical reports, and permit applications.

Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic calculations to support stormwater design.

Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, planners, and CAD designers to deliver high-quality engineering documents.

Review municipal land development ordinances and prepare submissions for regulatory approvals.

Support project management activities including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.

Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction phase services as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.

3–7 years of experience in civil site design, land development, or stormwater management.

EIT certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 12–18 months.

Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.

Strong understanding of local, state, and federal permitting processes (PADEP, NPDES, etc.).

Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
