Develops improved or new designs for automotive sunroof modules.Ensures that the product design meets customer and Inalfa Roof Systems specifications.Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities Are:
Perform technical risk analysis using formal design engineering tools such as DFMEA, GD&T, DFA, DFM, CAD, CAE, and Design Reviews.
Conduct feasibility studies based on technical specifications to develop design concepts.
Perform technical calculations and design reviews to validate proposed designs.
Review and evaluate product designs in terms of cost efficiency and manufacturability.
Utilize CAD and PLM systems to access and update engineering drawings.
Support manufacturing and quality teams with root cause analysis and technical issue resolution.
Support Purchasing and Quality teams regarding supplier-related technical issues.
Drive cost reduction and value engineering activities (VAVE).
Coordinate and communicate with local/global cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive engineering.
Knowledge of automotive product structures and manufacturing methods.
Understanding of engineering methodologies such as DFMEA, DOE, DFSS, GD&T, and APQP.
Knowledge of engineering databases, technical documents, and drawings.
Proficiency in CATIA, including part, surface, assembly design, and kinematics functions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional environment.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with global teams and regions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of moving mechanism parts and related manufacturing processes is preferred.
